JoyPlanet Park was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to create a place where families could escape the ordinary and immerse themselves in extraordinary experiences. Founded in 2018 by a group of entertainment industry veterans and theme park enthusiasts, our journey began with a dream to transform Brisbane's entertainment landscape.

After three years of meticulous planning, innovative design, and passionate construction, JoyPlanet Park officially opened its gates in 2021. What started as 50 acres of undeveloped land has blossomed into Australia's most beloved family entertainment destination, featuring over 40 world-class attractions, six themed zones, and countless memories waiting to be made.

Our founders believed that amusement parks should be more than just collections of rides—they should be immersive experiences that transport visitors to different worlds, spark imagination, and create lasting bonds between families and friends. This philosophy continues to guide every decision we make, from attraction design to guest service excellence.

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

With over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Marcus brings visionary leadership and deep operational expertise to JoyPlanet Park. Previously serving as Senior Vice President at a major international theme park company, he has overseen the development of multiple award-winning attractions across three continents. Marcus holds an MBA from Stanford University and a degree in Engineering. His passion for creating family experiences drives the strategic direction of JoyPlanet Park, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation while maintaining our commitment to safety and sustainability.

Samantha Chen

Chief Operations Officer

Samantha oversees all daily operations at JoyPlanet Park, ensuring seamless guest experiences across every touchpoint. With 18 years in hospitality and entertainment management, she previously served as General Manager for two major Queensland resorts. Her expertise in operational excellence, team development, and guest satisfaction has been instrumental in achieving our 98% guest satisfaction rating. Samantha holds a Master's degree in Hospitality Management and is certified in Six Sigma operational methodology. Director of Attractions & Safety

Diego leads our attractions team with an unwavering commitment to safety and innovation. As a licensed professional engineer with 15 years of experience in ride design and maintenance, he has worked on major theme park projects in Europe and Asia before joining JoyPlanet Park. Diego holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and multiple certifications in amusement ride safety standards. Under his leadership, our park has maintained a perfect safety record while introducing groundbreaking attractions. His technical expertise and proactive safety culture ensure that every ride operates at peak performance with the highest safety standards in the industry.

Amelia Thompson

Chief Marketing & Guest Experience Officer

Amelia drives our brand strategy and ensures every guest touchpoint reflects the JoyPlanet Park promise of exceptional experiences. With 20 years in marketing and customer experience across entertainment and tourism sectors, she has led award-winning campaigns for international brands. Amelia holds a degree in Communications and is a certified Customer Experience Professional.
